About Me

Hi, what's up? My name is Jurrie. I'm specialized in capturing the art of nature from an aerial perspective.

As a self-taught photographer from The Netherlands, I began exploring the art of photography in 2010 with a small camera. My fascination with the medium led me to study the work of renowned photographers and to experiment with different techniques. Ultimately, leading me to focus on capturing breathtaking landscapes and thrilling adventures.

During an overlanding expedition in East Africa, I began using a drone to create videos and photographs. This new perspective of the world inspired me in many ways. It showed me that nature creates artful patterns, colors and textures which we are unable to see from the ground. Abstract. Aesthetic. All created by mother nature. 

Since then, I have focused on capturing abstract aerials from several places on earth. I prefer to shoot from airplanes or copters to reach untouched wild places and to shoot the best quality images. So far, mostly in Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes. In the near future, I aim to explore many more awe-inspiring places. 

My goal is to showcase the artistry of our world from above through unbelievable photographs. I aim to inspire others to value and protect nature’s incredible creations for future generations.
